It will work, there are better bags out there (in my opinion, but for the price you probably can't beat it), but remember that there is a lot of stuff
that we recommended in the Emergency Prep classes, and if we could all afford it there would be no decisions to be made. I do not know what size this is off
had, but looks about right, we usually recommend one that is bigger than that standand school backpack, but smaller than the Military Issue ALICE packs.
The main thing that you need to remember is to get started with the basics and work with what you can and what you have (there is no reason to buy a $300
bag if a $25 will do what you need). Just make sure you have what you need in you BOB, and try not to got to big on the bag (the more room that you have, the
more you will think that you need to pack in it) Plan on the basics (some food, water, medical supplies, ammo, clothing for the season cold/wet/warm, survival
blanket, fire starters, etc....) This is only a bag that will get you through a few days until you get to where you are going, this is not a bag for you to
live out of .
